KAIYO, THE SINGLE 7 YEAR OLD • 48% $14

Cask: American oak, Japanese oak

Whisky distilled on an antique coffey still is “tea-spooned” with an unknown Japanese single malt before being matured in a mix of US & Japanese oak. It is then given the classic Kaiyo treatment with a final rest at sea in mizunara barrels for up to 3 months.

The first peated expression to be released from Kaiyo.
